Hello Heidrun,

Thanks for featuring my blog on your blog. Isn't it amazing how we can all make these wonderful connections from opposite ends of the world. I try to publish a new article on each of my blogs every day so I invite you and your readers to visit often - and leave comments. I love the comments. I have made many friends all over the world in this way over the 11 months I have been blogging.

One day I hope to visit Germany and trace my roots - my family originally came from Silesia. My daughter visited the family village in 2005 while she was teaching in England.

Hallo liebe Frau Heidrun Karin Peters and http://32countries.wordpress.com readers! Alle ist gut?

This is Toke, Neblina's drummer speaking. First just to thank you for your post.

I would like to say that I think it's a very good idea reporting evenements and people releted with the 2006 FIFA World Cup during this hot german summer of 2006.

In fact we, Neblina rock band from Angola, have been in Deutschland with the cultural delegation from Angola to the Worl Cup.

We have been in the beautiful and greener Hannover, stayed at the four rated satars Queens Hotel at Tiergartenstraße 117 ( http://www.queens-hotel-hannover.com/20_01_01_06_en.php3 ), and we only have very good and clear memories of that period.

Deutsche volk have been very kind all the time everywhere, be Leipzig, Köln, or Celles, where angolan Fußball équipe have made their sportiv concentration.

We have made three live shows in Deutschland: one in Celles, and two in Hannover at a place called Ferry House in Limmer. Unfortunatelly we have no films about those shows but we know that they exist, because we have seen the angolan TV or others, filming us during ours performences.

At the forth day we have find that Limmer Ferry House restaurant where we have been able to eat true angolan food, coocked by angolans and with angolan nourriture brought both from Angola. That is a paradox, to be in a foreign country and to want to have angolan food. But after three days eating that delicious deutsche food we have started a difficult organic as stomacall adaptation. So, no mather how delecious it was the deutsche food, we have to had at least an angolan répas per day. Lol... Finally we mixed both at the same time. That's how different people start to really know them selfes; by the mouth :-))

And even by the music that we have'd played for deutsche volk, and people reacted very good to our sound. Well, we where in Hannover, the city aus der Scorpion gruppe!!!! Everybody knows that deutsche hard rock scene is very hot, and it was for us a great emotion to play in such venues.

Wath more can I say? Good beer (not fresh enough, but who was caring at the time?!); excelent food with a lot of vegetebals (only regreting not have'd a really deutsche home lunch); excellent transportation facilities all over the city, and when we were traveling to the other stad (and with the colectiv tickets for all the day we were able to moove fast und confortable; good feeling around the stadium where Angola have played (in Leipzig things were a little bit more formal, but it was ok: we were told that Nietzsche and Schopenhauer are there buried but we haven't had the oportunity to rend an homage to them, malgré nous); the day light! Yes, the day light it was delightfull! Over here, in Angola, the seasons do not change the day light all over de year, so it was fun to have diner at 21:00 with sun light! And the sun comming so early in the morning when we haven't yet sleep it was great! (we almost never sleeped in those 15 days! Long was the night, but with some sun light!); we have liked to see so many foreigners integrated and working in your home land; and, of course, deutsche people and their kindness.

I Only have to say, in a ending comment:
Danke schön Deutschland!!!

Post Scriptum:
In that video where I have a candle in the hand with a being or not being Hamlet speach style I'm saying: "Angola have lost, but we (angolans) have won! Many angolans wanted to be treated like doctors, but we are only "roockies"! We have only been admited in the soccer university so we are "roockies"! We will have more world soccers to go a head!"

Thank you for mentioning my blog and sharing it as well. We have over 500 SOBs in the blogosphere and the program 67 weeks old now. Gosh that's amazing to me to think about. :)
